The setting sun
No tech talk today .. just some real talk. An uncle passed away last night. He was on Teresa's side of the family. Over the last few years, it has been sobering to watch a generation slowly disappear. I have two aunts and one uncle that are still going strong, but the rest have all died.
In the mean time, I have been watching the next generation as they move into their own. My children, and their generation are moving into the time of life where they are becoming the leaders. They are making decisions. Sometimes this scares the $#@% out of me, while most often it excites me.
We are all 'moving on'. It was exciting when I was young, as my generation was growing up and ‘taking charge’. Now, it is far more sobering, I look back at the wonder of it all. The fact is, my generation has already lost many, and the process continues. Aging happens ... life happens, as sure as the rising and setting of the sun. Enjoy the ride while making every moment count!
