Just Start Something

I am not an accomplished writer, but I enjoy the craft. There are times when I can pull up my iPad and words just flow. I’m not sure they make sense, but in those moments, they flow freely. There are those days when nothing comes. Some people say that the best thing to do is to start typing. It may be garbage, but the act of getting it into some written form (typing on my iPad for me) creates a spark that gets things moving. This does not sound very sexy, but it works.

Perhaps a good rule for being more creative is to engage your mind .. just start something. Yes, the very act of creating, no matter how small, can stimulate the mind, and open gateways to more creativity. Make a video, draw, sketch, just engage in a creative act. I promise, it will be worth it.
