Legs May 24, 2025

What an amazing workout. Today was legs with a focus on quads. I had a workout partner which made it even more intense. When there is someokne pushing you to do more it just makes it better and more intense. I loved it. Lets dig into the numbers.

  • Hack Squat: 3 sets to failure. This was super intense. I didn't record it but I think the last set was a drop set ... but this was a great start.
  • Leg Press: 2 sets, with a drop for the 2nd set. Again to failure.
  • Let extensions: 2 sets to failure+ with a lot of holding and lwo reps .. really finished the quads.
  • Seated leg curls: 2 sets to failure+. I did make the last set a drop set.
  • Lying leg curls: 2 sets to failure+ with a focus on the squeeze.
  • Giant set: Cable crunch, LP Calves and adductors. 3 sets.
  • No post lift cardio .. just walking today.

As I already wrote, I had a training partner for this workout and The intensity and pump was just off the charts. We will see how recovery goes.

My food intake yesterday:

  • Pre-workout: I had ~180g full-fat yogurt with 30g of blueberries. I added a second serving of yogurt post workout.
  • Meal 1 was 19g of bison liver, 23g of oysters, a can of sardines, 225g of ground beef (100g) / bison (125g) mix, a 17g slice of extra sharp cheddar cheese and 4 eggs.
  • Meal 2 was 225g of ground beef (100g) / bison (125g) mix, a 17g slice of extra sharp cheddar cheese and 4 eggs (one was a duck egg).
  • Meal 3 was a 200g beef sirloin steak, 18g of butter (grass finished), 3 eggs and a 180g of yogurt.

These macros were generated using from Grok (AI tool). I think they are wrong. Tomorrow I'll use a traditional tool to be more accureate. The key thing for me is to eat a little less food so I had less eggs and groud beef / bison than I have been consuming.

  • Total calories: 2602
  • Protein: 258.9
  • Fat: 157.1
  • Carbs: 38.2

My weight this morning was 183.1 pounds. Steps yesterday: 16.759.

I will make more diet changes today as I try to find a good balnacne between intake and weight loss. I am also trying to lower my protein to around 200 to 225g / day and same for fat. That balance is not easy on my carnivore food choices.
