Legs - Quad Focused 6/1/2025

Today was a quad focused leg day. That does not mean we took it easy on hamstrings .. we hit them hard with 4 sets. Here is the workout:

  • Smith machine squats (Derick is not ready to squat yet so he used a squat machine). 3 sets .. I took them all right to failure, but I did not fail. The focus on was depth and it was outstanding.
  • Leg press: 2 sets to failure. Wow .. Wow .. Wow.
  • Leg extensions: 3 sets. We took all of these to failure, and the last set was a drop set.
  • Seated leg curls: 2 sets, focused on the squeeze to failure. I wold squeeze a few reps, then just push to failure witout the squeeze at the top.
  • Lying leg curl: 2 sets to failure.
  • Giant set: Cable crunch, LP Calves and adductors. 3 sets.
  • No post lift cardio .. just walking today.

We are really feeling these workouts. The intensigy continues to be amazing.

My food intake yesterday:

  • Pre-workout: I had full-fat yogurt, about 20g of blueberries and a scoop of MCT powder.
  • Meal 1: oysters, bison liver, a can of sardines, butter, tallow, ground bison (122g), a slice of cheese and a square of chocolate.
  • Meal 2 was a serving of yougurt, 2 eggs (raw), butter, HLTH code (full serving - 2 scoops).
  • Meal 3 was a samll bison sirloin steak, 4 eggs, butter, a serving of yogurt, and tallow,

Macros:

  • Total calories: 2805
  • Protein: 197
  • Fat: 203
  • Carbs: 54.6

Carbs were a little high but this felt great.

My weight this morning was 182.5 pounds. My fat was 16.4 which is also down. Steps yesterday: 15,051.
