Clear & Shoulders

We did cable chest presses today as part of our chest work. Wow, those felt so good. I always loved them, but they felt extra good today. Here is the rest of the workout:

  • Smith incline press. 3 sets. I was near failure on all sets but the weights were a little lighter and reps higher. A solid starter.
  • Incline machine press: 3 sets to failure with partials.
  • Incline cable bench: 4 sets to failure with partials.
  • True seated chest press: 1 drop set to failure.
  • Seated Hammer OH Press: 2 sets to failure with partials.
  • Seated DB side laterals. 2 sets with paritials.
  • True side lateral machine: 2 sets to failure with partials.
  • Bike sprints / HIIT: 8 reps.
  • Elliptical for 13 minutes.

Great workout. Both Derek (@lifting2recover) and I loved the cable press today and will incorporate those m ore often.

The macros for the yesterday:

  • Calories: 3212
  • Protein: 221g
  • Carbs: 83g (above target)
  • Fat: 233g

This was just about right on the money. The carbs were a little higher than my target but it worked out.

My weight this morning was 182.0 pounds.

My step count yesterday was only 16,138.
