Leg - Ham Focused (yeah right). 6/5/2025
It was a leg day that was ham focused. To be right to the point, we kiiled both hams and quads. It was super intense leg day. I seem to say that on repeat, but they keep getting better.
Here is the workout:
- Standing leg curls: 3 sets to failure+. Set 3 was a drop set. What a pump.
- RDL: 3 sets to near failure. I increased the weight for each set but kept the reps to 8 or more.
- Lying leg curl: I think we did 3 sets, but it may have been 2 .. to failure+. The last set was a drop set.
- Superset: Seated leg curls + Leg extensions: 3 sets to failure with a drop for the last set on both.
- Hack squats: 3 sets to very near failure. We did do a drop on the last set. I sure felt like I was going to puke on the drop set.
- Giant set: Cable crunch, LP Calves and adductors. 3 sets.
- No post lift cardio .. just walking today.
This was am amazing workout .. it is a mind game to try and take the body and mind to crazy places and amazing intensity. We took our minds and bodies there today.
My food intake yesterday:
- Pre-workout: I had a serving of full-fat yogurt, about 20g of blueberries, 10g of allulose and a scoop of MCT powder. I will have to share my reason for trying allulose later but generally speaking I am testing my bodys response to food.
- Meal 1: oysters, bison liver, salmon, butter, tallow, and 4 eggs.
- Meal 2 was 121g of beef (filet) 4 eggs, butter, tallow and a slice of cheese.
- Meal 3 124g of the remainder of the steak, 4 eggs, yogurt, a square of dark chocolate, tallow and. butter.
Macros:
- Total calories: 2970
- Protein: 209g
- Fat: 224g
- Carbs: 35g
This was excellent. I guess the fats were a little too high for the balance, but I am feeling good. I am not having any energy dips and my waist is shrinking. I will eat more tomorrow.
My weight this morning was 183.8 pounds, down nearly a pound of water. My fat was 16.5.
