The plan was to deadlift today. However, when I woke up and arrived at the gym, I simply wasn’t feeling it. I could come up with some valid excuses, such as the long drive I had yesterday and how long drives tend to affect my deadlift performance. But that’s just my mind playing tricks on me. I just wasn’t feeling it, so I opted for a solid back workout instead of deadlifting. Here are the details of the workout:

  • Cable high rows: 3 sets to failure with the stack + 25 on the first two sets. It sure felt outstanding.
  • True seated row: 3 sets to failure.
  • Neutral grip pulldowns: 2 sets to failure.
  • Neutral grop seated rows: 2 sets to failure.
  • Giant set: abs, knees over toes, jumping and rear delt cables. 3 sets.
  • Echo bike HIIT: 8 reps.
  • Elliptical for 15 minutes.

This could be a viewed as big disappointment since I didn’t deadlift, but the fact remains that it was an amazing workout and a great pump. I can’t complain.

My weight this morning was 185.4 with 16.8 lbs of fat.

Total steps yesterday was 14,771.
