Chest & Shoulders 7/27/2025

I took some weight off the pressing today to work on a deeper stretch. It felt good. I have been want to work on the stretch more for some time but had to really get my mind engaged in the process. When I watched the videos afterwards, I need to work more on this. It was a good attempt but I can do better.

Here's the workout details:

  • Incline machine press: 3 sets to failure and much more stretch than I have done in the past. I lowered the pins and had to get a liftoff but the stretch felt amazing.
  • Incline cable bench: 3 sets to failure with partials. I continued to focus on the stretch but it was not enough (based on the videos we took).
  • Cable fly: 2 sets to failure with partials.
  • Supersets: Cable fly to pressing: 1 sets to failure with partials.
  • Crossing cable side laterals: 2 sets to failure.
  • True machine slide laterals: 2 sets to failure with as many partials as I could get.
  • Seated OH Press (True): 2 eets.
  • Elliptical for 20 minutes.

I am going to continue to work on the sterch for a few workouts. I think I can jumpstart my chest results but we will see.

My body weight this morning was 185.7.

My step count yesterday was 15,673.
